Dragon’s Chow is the story of two people who could easily do something together but simply aren’t given a chance in Germany. The actual life-stories of the figures are fictitious but are composed of authentic elements.
I wanted to make an as simple and straightforward film as possible, placing the focus on the characters it depicts. Germany is a rich country that treats refugees from poor countries harshly. It knows no mercy and is blind to individual fates. Perhaps Dragon’s Chow can use the tools of poetry to paint a different picture.
